Volunteers Wanted!
We’re looking for volunteers to join the APCA Board, volunteer at events, and/or support park and community development projects. No experience is necessary for any of the volunteer positions!
Board Positions Available:
>> Free Skate Coordinator: For the 2025/2026 APCA Free Skate Program we are looking for a volunteer to help with community engagement including: promotion of the program and surveying the participants. The coordinator will also help complete the final report for the grant received from Sask Lotteries (due in March 2026) and help apply for the grant for the 2026/2027 program.
>> Website Director: We are looking for someone to support with website maintenance which includes: posting updates (news, programs, community updates) and support with registration. Experience with editing/designing websites is helpful but is not required! Training can be provided, you do not need to be a computer whiz!
>> Senior Fitness Coordinator: We are looking for someone passionate about Senior fitness and connecting with Senior’s in our community. The primary role includes coordinating our Older Adult Fitness program (supporting participants with registration and coordinating with the fitness instructor).
>> Newsletter Coordinator: We send two physical newsletter out each year (August and December). We are looking for someone to support the creation of our newsletter.
>> Registration Software Coordinator: APCA runs programs throughout the year. We have two primary registration periods (late August and early January), we have an additional registration (April/May) for a small number of Spring/Summer programs. We use TeamLinkt as our current registration software. We are looking for someone to support and coordinate. This includes: updating the online registration forms (dates/times/programs), supporting participants with registration issues/questions, supporting program coaches/coordinators with any updates. You do not need experience with TeamLinkt or other registration programs. Training can be provided!
Events and Community Projects seeking volunteers:
– APCA Community Clean Up – Saturday June 14, 2025 from 10 am – 12 pm; Meet at South Leisure Centre.
– Dr. A.E. Perry Improvement Project – Join the committee and support development and execution of the fundraising campaign and project!
– Realtor’s Park Projects – Take our survey and join the committee!
