APCA is currently in need of directors and volunteers who are interested in serving as one of the following:
- Secretary – takes minutes at monthly APCA meetings. There are 8-10 board meetings per year (monthly from September-November and January-May). Compiles the annual report for the Annual General Meeting (November each year).
- Free Skate Coordinator – this position is needed to ensure we can continue offering the free skate November-February annually at the Optimist Arena. The program is sponsored by a SaskLotteries grant. Duties of this role include applying for the SaskLotteries grant annually, coordinating with our skate supervisor to collect surveys from program participants, and completing the annual report on the free skate program.
- Social Media Director – duties include monitoring and maintaining APCA social media. Currently our social media presence is on Facebook. We would like to expand to other social media sites based on interest/availability of the social media director.
- Newsletter Coordinator – APCA mails out a community newsletter twice per year. Responsibilities of this position include working with our program coordinator to gather program details, preparing the newsletter draft and sending to the printer. APCA would also like to casually send out e-newsletters throughout the year to highlight events and community updates.
