Albert Park Community Association
Our Volunteer Board & Volunteers
The Albert Park Board of director by-laws allow for a maximum of 15 directors.
Five directors also serve as the officers of the not-for-profit organization.
The role of the 10 directors is to take an active part in the direction of the association and its programs and shall endeavour to serve in whatever capacity he or she may be called upon to fulfil, without remuneration.
Ladette is currently the Co-President, Director Capital Projects, and Programmer Coordinator for Tennis. She has previously held the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary, gymnastics and tennis program coordinator for APCA over the past 20 years. Ladette has worked hard over the years to bring new innovative physical activity options and infrastructure to our community. She was a member of the Committee that installed the Realtors Park Spray Park over ten years ago.
Ladette and her family have been residents of Albert Park for over 30 years.
Stella joined the APCA board 1999 in the role of secretary. Since that time, she has been a director, treasure, president, soccer coordinator, assistance sign changer with her son, and now past president.
Stella and her family moved into the APCA community when their son started elementary school at Ecole Massey in the French Immersion Program. Programs the family has participated in are Learn to skate, power skate, soccer, and pickle ball.
Stella has carried on a family practice of volunteering in the community in which they live. Without volunteers, many activities can not happen, and many facilities do not remain open
Director, Awards Coordinator
Kevin’s passion for aviation makes him an excellent fit for the APCA Airport Committee. Kevin and his family have called Albert Park home for the last 16 years, where he has volunteered many hours in the community as t-ball and soccer coaches for his children.
Kevin can be found helping out on many APCA committees, and at his kids’ events, if not at the airport.
Open Volunteer Opportunities
APCA is currently in need of directors and volunteers who are interested in serving as the:
- Vice-President– help bring the APCA board to it’s full potential.
- Secretary – keep the board organized and on-point.
- Program Coordinator – work with all of the program providers to ensure the quality of our programs.
- Child/Youth Programmer – bring new programs to the community for our children and youth.
- Seniors Programmer – bring new programs to the community for seniors.
- Tennis Programmer – Coordinate this popular spring program for children, youth, and adults.
- APCA Free Skate Program – Coordinate this Free skating program offered by APCA. Nov. – Feb each winter at the Optimist Arena.
Bob is Past President of Albert Park, his duties on the board include Zoning and Capitol projects, he is a retired Federal Public Servant and runs a small consulting company in Regina.
Colleen is our treasurer and officer of the Board.
Colleen volunteered for a couple of years, 5 or 6 years ago to be the treasurer.
Since then, her family has taken on the sign changer position and are volunteering as soccer coaches for the teams their children play on. Colleen keeps us very organized and her knowledge and patience is very much appreciated.

Donna is the Membership Coordinator and Adult Badminton Coordinator for APCA.

Director, PM Fitness Coordinator
Elaine has served the APCA Board for many years, as the PM Fitness Programmer. Elaine is always aware of the latest fitness trends, and tries to keep our class on the cutting edge of fitness ideas.
Many APCA residents attend the SLC gym two or three evening a week to keep them selves health by participating in these classes. Elaine works hard to find instructors who are educated in their skill area and who the participants like to work out with.
Elaine and husband Herman keep the equipment and sound system clean and in great shape for all the participants to enjoy.
Director, Newsletter, Facebook and Canada 150 Coordinator
Ian and his family have been residents of Harbour Landing for almost 5 years and he’s a mortgage broker by profession with an office close to downtown Regina.
Ian keeps active in various recreational sports around the city from slo pitch to dodgeball and he hopes to inspire more people to be healthy by becoming more active and utilize the various facilities available in the community.
Matthew is a new member on the APCA Board, and has lived in Albert Park with his family for just over 2 years.
Matthew works at Saskatchewan Polytechnic building online courses by day, and keeps busy playing sports, coaching his kids sports teams, and voluteering throughout the community by night.
